MOVITEC WRAPPING SYSTEMS, S.L.U. has received a grant for its self-consumption project, “INSTAL·LACIÓ FOTOVOLTAICA DE 28.8 KW PER MOVITEC WRAPPING SYSTEM, SLU,” co-financed by the European Recovery and Resilience Facility (PRTR) – Next Generation EU, coordinated by the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge through IDAE (National Institute of Statistics and Census), and managed by the regional governments according to Royal Decree 477/2021, with the aim of achieving a cleaner and more sustainable economy.
A self-consumption project using renewable energy sources has been developed, consisting of a photovoltaic panel installation at the MOVITEC WRAPPING SYSTEMS, S.L.U. facilities in Alcoletge (Lleida). This project involved the installation of 72 400 Wp modules with a total power of 28.8 kWp.
In 2015, the UN General Assembly presented the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, a package of actions that seek to benefit society, the planet, and prosperity. The agenda sets forth 17 goals with 169 integrated and indivisible targets that span the economic, social, and environmental spheres.
The seventh of these goals is to “ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy,” and one of its objectives is to “increase the proportion of renewable energy in all energy sources.”
